Week 14 Post-Waiver

Week 14 Post-Waiver Wire Pickups

Of course, we need to monitor the status of Mitchell and Wilson going into Sunday’s matchup, but even if they play, I suspect Hasty gets a bulk of the work. The upcoming schedule has the 49ers facing off against the Bengals, Falcons, Titans, and Texans, so I expect Hasty to see a decent workload throughout the rest of the regular season.

Week 12 Post-Waiver Wire Pickups

Despite his primo matchup in Week 11, Cam Newton is still available in almost half of ESPN leagues. He threw for two touchdowns and ran for another one against the Washington Football Team. In Week 12, he faces a Miami defense that has allowed the fourth-most rushing yards to opposing quarterbacks over the past four weeks. Newton does have a bye next week, so be aware, but he’s a great streaming option for Week 12.

Week 10 Post-Waiver Wire Pickups

Jeff Wilson is a stash pickup that I don’t think you can play this week, but he is going to be a valuable asset going forward. Last year, Wilson was a huge factor in the rushing game, contributing 733 yards from scrimmage and 10 touchdowns over 12 games. Shanahan is going to work him into this backfield, and the upcoming schedule is extremely favorable. After this week’s matchup against the Rams, the 49ers go to Jacksonville, play Minnesota at home, have back-to-back road games against Seattle and Cincinnati, then Atlanta at home, at Tennessee, and at home against Houston in Week 17. Imagine! You could be playing Jeff Wilson against Houston in your fantasy Super Bowl! Don’t sleep on Jeff Wilson.

Fantasy Football Discount Player: Jared Cook

Speaking of the 2020 Rookie of the Year, having Herbert under center only amplifies Cook’s case for a career season. The most important stat for a tight end to be a fantasy success is touchdowns. In 2020, Herbert looked  Henry’s way inside the 10 yard line more than any other pass catcher. While targeting the position as a whole, Herbert attempted more than 21% of his passes to his tight ends, with Henry garnering 16.4%. Being surrounded by a plethora of elite pass catchers will keep him in multiple favorable one on one matchups.

Investing in the 49ers Backfield

Whether Mostert is healthy or not, it is reasonable to expect Sermon to contribute as a rookie. If the incumbent starter were to miss any time, Sermon would seemingly see an increase in his workload, making him an intriguing option for fantasy. The potential upside has Sermon drafted as RB34 according to FantasyPros, standing to rise leading up to the season.

Implications For Rams After Cam Akers Injury

On Tuesday morning, the football community awoke to the devastating news that Los Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers will miss the entire 2021 season due to a torn Achilles. The second-year product out of Florida State was primed for a big season as the top billing running back in an explosive offense. So let’s take an in-depth look at how this affects the Rams’ offense as a whole.

Stabilize Your Future: Value The Safety, Upside, And Risk

All in all, this is a great quarterback class. It could be one of the best ones we have ever seen in terms of fantasy production. There’s no Josh Rosens or Geno Smiths who belong as backups instead of starters. It’s also apparent the majority of these players landed in ideal situations. Feel good about spending draft capital and investing in these players. You will see return on investment sooner, rather than later.
